The Flipskate project is an introduction to digital coding by using a Makey-Makey.
This project was carried out in a group work with Dorian PISSOTTE, Céline DAENDLIKER and Warren PATTEN.
Flipskate is an interactive game that combines a skateboard computer game with a hand-controlled mini skateboard. This haptic interactive model is intended to replace the keyboard of the computer.
A hemisphere below the mini skateboard allows the user to move freely whilst playing the game. The arrows indicate where and in which direction the user can move the mini-Skateboard.
The board of the Flipskate is connected to the Makey-Makey which is connected to the computer. This minicomputer converts the control keys of the keyboard and replaces them with the haptic body of the Flipskate.
